School Psychologist
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist for a school district in Eau Claire, MI.
As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your expertise will help identify and address various learning and behavioral challenges, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and guidance services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Support the development and implementation of special education programs and services.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide valuable input regarding students' needs and goals.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
- Actively participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices and research in the field of school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Michigan.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of students.
