ProCare Therapy is partnering with a fantastic school district in Oklahoma City, OK, to find dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapists (OTs) for the current school year. As an integral part of the educational team, you will provide essential support to students and teachers by assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with physical, cognitive, and motor challenges, while also collaborating with staff to develop strategies that enhance students' functional abilities. - Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students with autism and other behavioral challenges.
- Assist teachers and support staff in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive social skills.
- Collect and record data on student progress, behavior, and responses to interventions.
- Collaborate with special education teams to tailor strategies for individual student needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of employment.
- Experience in pediatric therapy or working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- (10-15) minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school
- Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview
