Speech-Language Pathologist
A Hermiston school district is seeking applicants for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) across their district. Are you in search of a fresh new opportunity and a supportive team? Do you have a talent for working with children of all ages? Would you like to improve the lives of our students through exceptional speech therapy sessions? This is the position you've been looking for!
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: In order to qualify for an interview, candidates must be licensed by the State of Oregon Board of Speech Language and Audiology. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a clean criminal record, clean drug screening, and undergo fingerprinting. These items are required in your onboarding process, and failure to complete this process will result in the delay of your start date. This is in accordance to state and federal laws, and ensures the safety of our students.
EVERYDAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll provide world-class speech-language therapy services to students based on their IEPs by conducting evaluations, assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports - you'll determine the strengths and areas of concern in speech, voice, fluency, language, and oral motor skills, and may make recommendations/referrals for further assistance or devices when necessary. SLPs will be running on a Facilitator model, so there is no case management for communication only IEPs. In order to support students in their overall educational improvement, you will also assist in developing treatment plans with the help of our interdisciplinary team by attending regular meetings!
This position is full time, which makes employees eligible for our superior healthcare benefits - this includes the option of vision and dental insurance as well.
