Caseload Details:
- Position Available: 1 Paraprofessional
- Start Date: January
- Role: 1:1 special education position at Rosholt Elementary School in Wausau, WI
- Student Needs: Reteaching, preteaching, prompting, and behavioral management
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with special needs in one-on-one or small group settings
- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and support instructional activities
- Maintain a positive, inclusive environment that supports student growth and success
- Aid students with personal care, communication, and mobility, as necessary
- Work closely with teachers to track progress and adapt support strategies
- Document student behavior and performance accurately
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in a related field is a plus
- Experience working with students with special needs, especially in educational settings
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to support students’ academic and social progress
- Ability to pass a background check and meet school district requirements
