Part Time Social Worker - Jersey City, NJ

ProCare Therapy ahs partnered with a dynamic and growing K-12 charter school in Jersey City, NJ, committed to providing our students with a rigorous and supportive education. We are seeking a Part-Time School Social Worker to join our dedicated team.

Job Description:

• 2022-2023 school year
  • ASAP - June 2023
    • May continue to 2023-2024 school year 
• Caseload: K-8th grade
  • Around 15 students 
  • 1 school site

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students in need of social-emotional support.
• Develop and implement individualized plans for students in need, in collaboration with teachers and staff.
• Conduct assessments and make recommendations for interventions and services.
• Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, including support for students experiencing trauma or emotional distress.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and community resources to ensure the success of all students.
• Participate in IEP meetings and support the development of IEP goals related to social-emotional development.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work 
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Social Worker in New Jersey
• Experience with Special Education students 
• Knowledge of child development and social-emotional learning
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
