Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Orinda, CA
Type: Part-Time, Contract
Caseload Details:
- Part-time, M-F (varying hours due to block schedule)
- Middle school
- Mild/Moderate
- 14 students on caseload
- ISP Teacher - customized plan to ensure the student receives appropriate accommodations and interventions in their learning environment.
- Jan 6 - May 30, 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide specialized instruction to enhance both academic and social skills.
- Collaborate with other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Modify teaching materials for various learning styles.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Active Special Education Teaching License/Certification in CA.
- Preferred experience with special needs students.
- Strong grasp of special education laws and regulations.
