Teacher for the Visually Impaired Job - Reno, Nevada
ProCare Therapy has partnered with a Nevada area school district that has a need for Teacher for the Visually Impaired/Blind. This district is looking to hire immediately for this position so apply today. We are currently arranging interviews for qualified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) who are interested in a part time position for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
Job Duties – Teacher for the Visually Impaired:
This teacher will identify and evaluate students with possible visual impairment and she/he will perform functional vision assessments on new referrals. The teacher will create specialized instruction strategies, lesson plans, and materials to students and staff. She/he will monitor student progress and serve as a member of the IEP team. Applicants should have basic understanding of Braille.
- Full Time (15-20 hours)

- PreK-12 Caseload
- Will accept new grad
- Nevada TVI licensure and teaching certification
- Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communications.
- Experience with collaborative groups and processes in a student-centered environment.
- Other qualifications of academic, professional, and personal excellence as the Governing Board may specify.
Salary for this position is negotiable and will be based on experience.
