Job Description: Are you a dedicated and skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) looking for a rewarding opportunity to support a student in Marion, NC? We are seeking an RBT to join the McDowell County School District to provide 1:1 support for a self-contained student with sensory needs, academic challenges, and the use of an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device. This position offers the chance to work closely with a student to foster growth and learning through tailored behavioral and academic support.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide 1:1 support for a student in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Focus on sensory needs, sensory regulation, and academic skills.
• Assist as a communication partner for a student using an AAC device.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans to support the student’s growth and progress.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and the support team to ensure the student’s success.

Position Details:

• Location: Marion, NC (McDowell County School District)
• Caseload: 1:1 student in a self-contained setting.
• Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week in January, transitioning to full-time hours starting in February.
• Start Date: ASAP, with an end date of June 6th, 2025.
• Hours: Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in North Carolina is required.
• Experience working with students with sensory needs and academic support is preferred.
• Ability to support students in a self-contained classroom and adapt to their communication needs.
• Passion for helping students succeed in both academic and behavioral goals.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay: $20-$28 per hour, based on experience.
• Transition from part-time to full-time hours.
