Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Location: Burlingame, CA

Job Type: Full-time for ‘24-‘25 School Year

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated RBT to join our team at ProCare Therapy and make a significant impact on students’ development and educational success! An RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) working in a school setting provides crucial support to students who require behavioral intervention and support services. Apply now to make a difference!

Responsibilities:

• Implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or other supervising professionals. This includes implementing strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior reinforcement.
• Providing direct instruction to students based on individualized educational and behavioral goals outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or behavior plans.
• Collecting data on students' behavior during intervention sessions, and accurately recording and graphing behavior data for analysis by the BCBA or supervising professional.
• Supporting students in mainstream classrooms or specialized settings by implementing strategies to improve behavior and social skills, and promoting inclusion and participation.
• Collaborating with teachers, school administrators, and parents/guardians to coordinate interventions and ensure consistency in behavior management strategies across settings.
• Assisting in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when students exhibit challenging behaviors that may disrupt the learning environment or pose safety concerns.

Qualifications:

• Valid RBT Certification
• Comfortable working in a 1 on 1 setting. 
• Desire to work in pediatrics and make a difference.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
