Job Title: Remote School Social Worker
Location: Detroit, MI (Remote)
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099 Position)
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: 36–40 hours per week
Compensation: $38-$50 per hour (depending on experience)

ProCare Therapy is hiring a Remote School Social Worker to support students in Detroit, MI through virtual services. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to work from home while providing essential counseling services to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges. This is a 1099 tax position, so you’ll have autonomy over your schedule and tax responsibilities.

Position Overview:

• Location: Remote (Serving Detroit, MI students)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Work Hours: 36–40 hours per week
• Compensation: $38-$50 per hour, based on experience
• Independent Contractor (1099 Position)

Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual counseling sessions to students with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
• Develop individualized plans to support students' mental health and social skills
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor and support students’ progress
• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and provide appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and student outcomes
• Work as a 1099 independent contractor, managing your own taxes and benefits

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
• Valid Michigan School Social Worker Certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with remote counseling or telehealth services is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage students virtually
• Independent contractor status (1099)
