Job Title: Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Lake Villa, IL

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school district in Lake Villa, IL. Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Through the current school year, with potential for renewal.
• Location: Onsite at schools in Lake Villa, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Occupational Therapist in providing therapy services to students based on their individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assist with implementing treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence.
• Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions to help students meet their goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and prepare reports for IEP meetings.
• Contribute to developing and modifying treatment plans under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure compliance with school district policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Certification as a COTA and active licensure in Illinois.
• Experience working in schools or with children is highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the school environment.
