ProCare Therapy is partnering with an exceptional school district in Connecticut, to bring on a dedicated K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-25 school year. This fully remote role offers flexible scheduling and a caseload tailored to your unique experience. For the right candidate, there’s an opportunity to renew the contract for the following school year.
Position Overview:
- Role: K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Location: Remote (serving CT students)
- Schedule: Full-time or Part-Time
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCCs and Connecticut State License
- Preferred: Two years of school-based experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and recommend appropriate AAC tools to support communication and curriculum access.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to implement AAC/AT devices and integrate them into classroom settings.
- Support IEP development related to AAC/AT, attend relevant meetings, and provide documentation on student progress.
- Train school staff and parents on AAC/AT devices and software, while staying up-to-date on best practices and technology.
- Manage district-wide AAC/AT hardware/software inventory and oversee transfers within the district.
