Location: Summerdale, PA Employment Type: W-2 Contract Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate with Full Benefits Package and 401(k)

Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year in Summerdale, PA. As an SLP, you will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to preschool-aged children with various disabilities, including delays in receptive/expressive language, articulation, and autism. This is an onsite position in an early intervention preschool setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the individual needs of each student
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and interventions
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate optimal communication skills in students
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Attend meetings and participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Stay updated on current research, trends, and techniques in the field of speech-language pathology

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Prior experience working with preschool-aged children and knowledge of early intervention techniques
  • Strong knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their appropriate interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Job Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP (with a three-week break from June 5 through June 23 and again July 31 through August 18)
  • End Date: Continuous
  • Days per week: Monday through Friday (in-person)
  • Hours per week: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (with a half-hour daily lunch break, unpaid) - a total of 35 hours per week
  • Age Group: 3-5 years
  • Disabilities of Caseload: Delays in receptive/expressive language, articulation, autism
  • Number of Students on Caseload: Approximately 35-40
  • Onsite only
