Elementary school counselors help kids develop decision-making skills that will help them succeed academically and socially. Middle school counselors collaborate with school staff and parents to create a supportive environment for their students. Lastly, high school counselors help students path out their academic and career path, along with assisting them in overcoming any personal issues. If students have deeper psychological issues, school counselors may depend on a licensed professional clinical counselor to help the student.
