School nurse Needed- in Mundelein, IL.

We are currently seeking a School Nurse to provide health services to approximately 300 elementary students at DIAMOND LAKE SD 76 in Mundelein, IL. This position is a contract role starting on March 13th and ending on June 2nd.

Responsibilities:

• Provide health services to students in accordance with state and federal laws, as well as school policies and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Respond to and manage medical emergencies and injuries that occur during the school day
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and other school staff regarding students' health needs
• Promote health and wellness among students, including providing education on topics such as hygiene and nutrition
• Collaborate with other school health professionals and community resources to promote a healthy and safe school environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois nursing license
• Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
