ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of educational staffing solutions, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist for a contract position in Wauconda, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team and make a positive impact on the lives of students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning
- Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to support student success
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students individually or in group settings
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to promote positive behavior and social-emotional development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and determine appropriate interventions
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and services provided
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- State certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting preferred
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and a multidisciplinary team
