Job Description

Contract School Psychologist

ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist to work with K-8 students in Sterling Heights, MI. This position involves working collaboratively with educators, families, and students to provide psychological services that promote academic, social, and emotional success.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 7:30 - 3:00
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs, including academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create individualized plans.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between students, families, and school staff to support a positive learning environment.
  • Attend IEP meetings and provide input for specialized education plans.
  • Maintain detailed records and adhere to all state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology.
  • Active Michigan School Psychologist license
  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
