Job Description

A School Psychologist plays a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students within a school setting. Here's a list of the responsibilities:

  • Conducting psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, emotional functioning, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) for students with diverse needs.
  • Provide counseling and support services to students experiencing academic, social, or emotional challenges.
  • Offer consultation to teachers and staff on effective classroom management strategies and interventions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and make recommendations for interventions and accommodations.

  • Hours per week:  7:45-3:15   
  • Start Date:  August. 6, 2024
  • End Date:  May 24, 2025

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution required.
  • TN licensure as a School Psychologist required.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test required.
