Job Title: School Psychologist (Contract Position)

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Santa Cruz, CA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse student population in a supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide interventions and positive behavior support strategies
• Participate in team meetings, including IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and other relevant information
• Stay current with best practices in the field of school psychology and apply them in daily practice

Requirements:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
• Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California
• Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting (preferred)
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals
