Are you passionate about supporting young learners' social, emotional, and academic growth? ProCare Therapy is looking for a compassionate School Social Worker to join an elementary school in Round Lake, IL. This full-time role focuses on helping students with IEP needs and providing overall social work support to foster their success.
Position Snapshot
- Location: Round Lake, IL
- Schedule: Full-time, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (35 hours/week)
- Duration: ASAP – May 28, 2024
- Caseload:
- Approximately 30 students with IEP support needs
- General social work services for the school
Your Role
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ emotional and social needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student development.
- Track and document student progress, adapting interventions for optimal results.
- Connect students and families with valuable community resources to ensure holistic support.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement (required).
- Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Prior school-based social work experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $38+ (Based on experience).
- Weekly pay through direct deposit.
