Position: (March - June 6, 2024) – Maternity Leave Replacement
Days per Week: 3-5 Days

• 1 High School
• 1 Preschool
• 2 Parochial Schools

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker for a maternity leave replacement from March to June 6, 2025. This position offers flexibility with remote work and requires the social worker to provide services to one high school, one preschool, and two parochial schools within our Alpena, MI partner district. The ideal contractor will be responsible for supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being across multiple school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling for students in assigned schools.
• Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to support students’ academic and emotional growth.
• Implement social and emotional learning programs and interventions.
• Assist in crisis management and provide resources for students in need.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with school and district policies.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Michigan Social Work License (MI 310).
• Remote work capability, with potential travel to local schools if required.
• Experience in a school setting preferred, especially with diverse age groups (high school, preschool, and parochial schools).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information:

• This is a remote position with the possibility of working 3 to 5 days a week.
• Client will not assist with obtaining Michigan 310; applicants must already possess this license.
