Our school district in Wilmington, DE is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist in our school district, you will play a pivotal role in helping students develop their communication skills and succeed academically.

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Wilmington, DE

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders in students.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs within the classroom environment.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy goals and strategies as required.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language goals.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Provide training and guidance to teachers and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
