Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

ProCare Therapy is looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school district in Taft, CA. This role involves working with a K-12 caseload, helping students with speech and language delays reach their communication goals under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders, as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support students' speech and language needs in the classroom and school environment.
- Participate in team meetings, including IEP meetings, to discuss student progress and update goals as necessary.
Qualifications:
- California SLPA License required.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow treatment plans provided by the SLP.
