School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Hoover, AL
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Hoover, AL. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time work while making a significant impact on the communication skills of our students.
Position Overview:
- Location: Hoover, AL
- Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time (flexible hours)
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: End of the school year (with potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ speech and language skills to identify communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in both general education and special education settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and document therapy sessions in compliance with IEP requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives for students receiving speech services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Active Alabama SLP license.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and collaborate with staff.
