School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Hoover, AL

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Hoover, AL. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time work while making a significant impact on the communication skills of our students.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Hoover, AL
  • Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time (flexible hours)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: End of the school year (with potential for extension)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students’ speech and language skills to identify communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in both general education and special education settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and document therapy sessions in compliance with IEP requirements.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives for students receiving speech services.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Active Alabama SLP license.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and collaborate with staff.
