Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Through End of Year (EOY)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: $43-$48 per hour
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Kansas City, MO. This position offers an immediate start and will cover two different leaves of absence, providing a unique opportunity to work with a diverse student population.
Assignment Details:
- Duration: Immediate start date through at least March 20, 2024.
- Schedule: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Caseload:
- Early Childhood: 3-5 years old through mid-January.
- K-5 Elementary School from the end of January through March.
- Workload:
- Serve a total of approximately 35 students in self-contained classrooms.
- Provide support to students utilizing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) supports.
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to assess students' speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students to identify communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to create supportive learning environments.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Experience working with young children and students with AAC supports preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
