In a vibrant educational setting in Jamaica, NY, a dedicated professional is sought to provide specialized behavioral support within a K-12 school environment. This part-time contract position focuses on enhancing the learning experiences of students through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
- Strong skills in supervising and training Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)
- Proficient in developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and families
Location: Jamaica, NY
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to understand students' behavioral needs and develop tailored ABA programs
- Supervise and support one Registered Behavior Technician, providing guidance and training as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data-driven results
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student outcomes and strategies
