An engaging opportunity is available for professionals with expertise in behavior analysis within an educational setting. This full-time contract position is situated in Palatine, IL, within a therapeutic day school environment that serves K-12 students. The school operates year-round and comprises seven classrooms, accommodating approximately 45 students.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Level II Behavior Therapist will be considered in lieu of BCBA
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement behavioral intervention plans
- Knowledge of various instructional strategies and positive behavior support
Location: Palatine, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff on behavioral techniques and strategies
- Develop and oversee behavioral plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educational staff to enhance overall student support
- Work directly with students requiring intensive behavioral interventions
- Conduct assessments and analyze data to inform practice and plan interventions
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care
