Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Guidance Counselor to support the well-being and academic success of elementary students for the upcoming school year. This role involves working closely with a diverse K-5th grade caseload, focusing on the emotional, social, and educational development of approximately 50 students.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid state certification or licensure in School Counseling.
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff.
• Proficiency in counseling techniques and strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students, fostering emotional and social development.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student needs and develop appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and counseling sessions.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and presentations for parents and staff on student well-being.
• Work closely with school administration to ensure a supportive learning environment.
