Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of K-12 education policies and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods
Location: Longmont, CO
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of performance
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student development
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and relevant school activities
