Located in Spartanburg, SC, this position offers an opportunity to provide essential Orientation and Mobility services in a K-12 school setting for the upcoming school year. The role is designed for professionals committed to enhancing the lives of students with visual impairments through tailored mobility training and support.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist from ACVREP or NBPCB
- Proven experience in writing IEPs and documenting progress
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators and other specialists
- Experience with diverse student populations, particularly from PreK to 12th grade
Location:
- Spartanburg, SC
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Orientation and Mobility services as outlined in student IEPs
- Develop and write the O&M component of IEPs
- Monitor and report on student progress in mobility skills
- Handle Medicaid billing and necessary documentation
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to support student needs

This role is set for full-time hours, 37.5 per week, with a caseload of 20 students ranging from PreK to 12th grade, covering the school year from August to May.
