An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced OT looking to make a meaningful impact in a K-12 school setting. This position runs for the duration of the school year, offering a unique chance to support students' diverse needs through therapeutic practices.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in OT or related field.
- Current state licensure as an OT.
- Experience working in school systems, particularly with K-12.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and best practices in pediatric therapy.
Location: Albany, OR
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support students goals.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and outcomes.
- Educate and train staff and families on strategies to support students therapeutic needs.
