Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a position in Bronx, NY, within a dynamic K-12 school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with students aged 3-21, addressing a diverse range of therapeutic needs from early education through to high school.
Location: Bronx, NY
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students, tailored to individual IEP requirements.
- Develop and implement therapy plans focused on enhancing students functional abilities.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress.
- Maintain organized records and documentation in compliance with IDEA mandates.
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student outcomes.
- Manage a caseload with varied sessions throughout the day, ensuring effective delivery of services.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic practices.
Qualifications:
- New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist, required.
- TSSLD certification preferred.
- Proven experience in school-based therapy, particularly with K-12 students.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
