This contract is intended for the 2025-2026 school with candidates needed for summer term as well.
Location: Brookings, SD
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with children, particularly in a school or early education setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with therapeutic practices and interventions for young children
- Commitment to collaboration with teachers, parents, and other health professionals
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapeutic goals within the classroom
- Deliver direct therapy services and monitor student progress, adjusting techniques as necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Educate and support families regarding their childs therapy needs and progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and outcomes achieved
