An opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide essential services in a K-12 school setting located in Brooklyn, NY. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where you will work with students aged 3 to 21, supporting their individual needs and promoting their overall development.
Qualifications:
- Valid TSSLD (Teachers of Students with Disabilities) certification
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong understanding of IEPs and IDEA mandated documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Location:

Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students, tailored to their individual goals
- Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring that each student receives appropriate support
- Maintain organized records and documentation as required by IDEA
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students needs and track their development
