An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced professional seeking to make a significant impact in an educational setting in Chicago, IL. This contract position focuses on providing essential occupational therapy services to elementary students across three school sites for the full semester.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-8 students
- Familiarity with various disabilities, including SLD, OHI, DD, and ED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location:
Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of 52 students
- Assess student needs and develop tailored therapy plans aligned with individual education goals
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to implement strategies that support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive support plans
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and school policies regarding therapy services
