Job Description
An opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Chimayo, NM. This full-time position is set for the 2025-2026 school year, running from August 4, 2025, to May 29, 2026. The role focuses on providing therapeutic services to help students achieve their individual educational goals through effective occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active New Mexico State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Proven experience in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong knowledge of and ability to write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff, parents, and other professionals
- Commitment to enhancing students' educational outcomes through therapeutic practices

Chimayo, NM (K-12 School Environment)
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Write, implement, and monitor progress on IEPs, ensuring alignment with students needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate therapeutic goals into the classroom.
- Deliver direct therapy services and document student progress in compliance with state regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
- Attend and participate in all relevant meetings and professional development opportunities.
