An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide critical support in a dynamic K-12 school environment. This role is essential in enhancing students' educational experiences through tailored therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and modalities
- Commitment to collaboration with educational staff and families
Location: Englewood, CO
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs for occupational therapy
- Develop, implement, and adjust IEPs in collaboration with educators and parents
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions focused on enhancing motor skills and sensory processing
- Monitor and document student progress and outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families regarding therapy goals and progress
