An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist seeking to make a meaningful impact in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position is based in Fort Worth, TX, and focuses on providing therapeutic support to students in specialized programs and resource/inclusion classrooms during a maternity leave.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas Occupational Therapy Licensure
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in specialized programs
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in therapy practices
- Knowledge of resource and inclusion models within schools
Location:
- Fort Worth, TX
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students across three school locations, tailored to their individual needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement IEP goals
- Assess student progress and adjust therapy plans as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
- Provide guidance to school staff on the integration of therapeutic strategies in the classroom
