An opportunity is available for an experienced professional to provide specialized services in a dynamic K-12 educational setting. This role focuses on supporting students with diverse needs across two sites, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other specialists
- Familiarity with IEPs and related documentation processes
- Effective time management and organizational skills
Location:
Gilroy, CA
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop treatment plans for approximately 45 students, tailoring approaches to individual needs
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapeutic goals into the classroom
- Provide direct occupational therapy services and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports as required by school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs
- Support students in developing functional skills necessary for academic success
- Ensure compliance with all state and school regulations regarding therapy services
