Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to support students in a K-12 school setting, focusing on their individual needs and fostering an inclusive education environment. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, requiring a dedicated individual to work approximately 30 hours per week with a varied caseload of 40-45 students.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with therapeutic practices and tools used in schools
- Commitment to collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location:
- Lawrence, KS
Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and develop tailored therapy plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights regarding therapy outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and school policies
