We are excited to present a full-time position within an elementary school setting, focusing on students from birth to Pre-K. This role is critical in providing therapeutic services that support the developmental needs of young children, ensuring they receive the necessary foundation for their educational journey.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles
- Availability for summer sessions as well
Location: Madison, SD
Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat students with a variety of needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student goals
- Monitor and document student progress through regular evaluations
- Provide guidance and support to staff on implementing therapeutic activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families regarding student development
- Offer therapy services during the summer when needed
