A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Myrtle Point, OR. This contract position is designed for the upcoming school year, providing a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children through therapeutic practices.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEPs and related processes
Location:
- Myrtle Point, OR
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring occupational therapy
- Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance students daily living skills and educational outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs
