Job Description
An experienced Occupational Therapist is sought for a contract position at a K-12 school near Naperville, IL, for the summer session. This role offers the opportunity to support students' diverse needs in an engaging educational environment from June 16 to July 10, 2025, with a schedule of 20-25 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy License
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Commitment to collaborating with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals
Location: Naperville, IL area
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to students' needs.
- Collaborate with school staff to create supportive learning environments.
- Implement therapeutic activities to improve students' motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding student progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions.
