Seeking an experienced professional to provide dedicated support in a dynamic K-12 school environment. This full-time position focuses on meeting the diverse needs of PreK-12 students, including those with medically complex challenges. The role is set to commence for the 2025-2026 school year, offering an ideal opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensed Occupational Therapist in Connecticut
- Strong understanding of therapeutic practices for school-aged children
- Experience working with both general education and special education students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students needs to create tailored therapy plans
- Provide occupational therapy services to facilitate student participation in school activities
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing evaluations
- Stay updated on best practices and regulatory standards in occupational therapy
