An opportunity exists for dedicated professionals skilled in OT within K-12 educational settings. This full-time position is based in Olympia, WA, and spans the academic year, focusing on providing therapeutic services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in OT
- Valid state licensure as an OT
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and modalities
- Commitment to collaborative practices and team-based care
Location:
- Olympia, WA, with coverage extending to Pacific, Mason, Thurston, and Grays Harbor counties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students.
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting.
- Implement therapeutic activities designed to enhance students' motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes.
