Job Description
This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the lives of students through tailored therapeutic practices. The position is part-time, requiring availability for two days a week, focusing on students with diverse needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in OT or related field
- Current state licensure or certification as an OT
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and practices
- Familiarity with support services available in schools
- Organizational skills to manage a varied caseload effectively
Location: Oxford, NC
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, assessment, and treatment for students requiring occupational therapy
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to foster a positive learning environment
- Deliver direct services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
