Job Description
An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Santa Fe, NM. This full-time position is set to run from August 4, 2025, to May 29, 2026, and focuses on providing therapeutic services tailored to the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active New Mexico State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Proficiency in writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Location:
Santa Fe, NM
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address students occupational therapy needs
- Implement therapeutic techniques to enhance students motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care abilities
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure cohesive support for student IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and needs
