Job Description
An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This role is geared towards providing assessment, therapy, and consultation services, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support for their educational development.
Qualifications:
- Active California Occupational Therapy license
- Preferred experience in school settings, particularly with TK-8th grade
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to attend and participate in IEP meetings
Location:
- Santa Maria, CA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' therapeutic needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services in alignment with student IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings to advocate for student needs
- Maintain documentation and progress notes as required by the school
