An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide services in an engaging educational environment in Spring Hill, KS. This position is focused on supporting students from preschool through elementary levels, offering the chance to make a significant impact on their development and learning.
Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Occupational Therapy license
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary and preschool-aged students
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and students
- Familiarity with special education practices, particularly with autism spectrum disorders
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to changing needs
Location:
Spring Hill, KS
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, treatment, and support to approximately 10-20 students, tailored to their individual needs
- Collaborate with another Occupational Therapist and school staff to develop and implement effective therapy plans
- Maintain documentation and progress reports as required by school policies
- Offer both direct and indirect services, ensuring a comprehensive approach to each student's therapy
- Engage with students in the autism classroom as needed, fostering a positive learning environment
