Job Description
An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 school setting located in Staten Island, NY. This contract position offers a chance to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young adults with diverse needs, ranging from ages 3 to 21.
Qualifications:
- Valid TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) certification
- Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEPs and IDEA mandated documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and families
- Excellent organizational skills to manage records and documentation
Location:
- Staten Island, NY
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Organize and participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies

This role operates on a schedule of two to three days a week, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with a contract duration extending to June 2, 2025. The position will commence as soon as all clearance requirements are met.
